This is the first post from my friend and brother, hope you get encouraged.
Intro : I’m Echezona Moneke, a Product Engineer/Specialist for Centrifugal & Transfer Pumps with Bell Oil & Gas. I’m basically a young man brimming with life, who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to go get it, even if it means breaking protocols. If your chances are between slim & none, go with the ‘slim’ because all venture has got its own attendant risks.
Never was I ever in doubt about how great the year 2013 would turn out. This is because year 2012 ended with the potential for a giant leap in 2013. True to expectation, 2013 began with such a promise that mind blowing experiences were being churned out on a weekly basis. Somewhere down the line, however, this promise & excitement began to wane.
As the curtain for 2013 continued to gradually draw to a close, so were these experiences & expectations. Uncertainties set in; fear, apprehension & disenchantment took centre stage. Failure was staring me in the face as it was really trying times for me. Somehow, it took a drastic turn.
Just with a little stubbornness & insistence, things began to go well again, everything just fell back into place. The feeble knees, weak arms, blurred mind & redundant brain all gained strength. Suddenly, the lofty expectations began to gain centre stage whilst the attendant excitement returned.
This year, I’m thankful for a whole lot of things. Amongst other things, here under is just a summary:
•The experiences I’ve gained at work and it is important to note that this year marked the longest I’ve ever worked at a firm.
•My family, for the giant strides we have made.
•For the one I love and how this friendship & togetherness we share have brought us this far, despite the turbulence along the way.
•It is 3years since my Mum broke her leg in a freakish accident and 3years on, she’s perfectly well again. She has gained complete use of her leg.
•85% of my goals for the year were achieved.
•Most importantly, the journey mercies God has granted me because I really did travel a lot this year & God’s mercies brought me through them all.
•For the friends that were called home to be with God.
2013 has been a really tough & challenging year. I learnt to always stay on my feet, no matter what. My experiences for the year stands me on a better pedestal and I can unequivocally state that 2013 is ending in grand style. Truly, I can’t wait for 2014 to arrive because it promises to be a better year, I can already see the signs.
